Cardiff face Arsenal Sunday looking for a win

The visitors to the Cardiff City Stadium this Sunday are Arsenal who have had a poor start to the season with only one win out of the three opening games. It is reported the game is a sell-out, and live on TV here in the UK and worldwide it is a big game and what a game to secure Cardiff’s first win of the season – could not be better.

We need to pull something out of this game before the international break anything better than a defeat will do.

Still after three league games Warnock’s boys are yet to score a goal in the league a bit embarrassing but I believe tomorrow that stain on the club will end. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing who when off early at Huddersfield on a stretcher could be out for three months after injuring his knee. Others not in contention for the Arsenal game but could have a late fitness test winger Junior Hoilett out with a groin problem. Aron Gunnarsson is again ruled out but manager Neil Warnock said the player is training but Arsenal is too soon for him a made the point he will not be joining Iceland during the international break.

The last time we met was in the Premier League and they did the double over the Welshmen but that was history tomorrow we make our own with our first League home win against them since 1960, actually, that season we did the double over them.

Cardiff made nine changes for the midweek EFL Cup game against Norwich that ended in a 3-1 defeat from the game against Huddersfield. It should be back to normal for Arsenal but for Mendez-Laing out of the squad. From reports, those who played in midweek did little to endear themselves to Warnock to make it into the squad tomorrow but we will see.

I believe until my dying day, Bluebirds.
