Fixtures tomorrow and Cardiff sign two new players

The fixtures are out tomorrow, excited! Some more than others I am in the latter category it’s the kick-off to the new season that I am excited about but still. I don’t care when we play Manchester City, Liverpool or Chelsea we are going to play them anyway I just want the season underway. All that interests me about the fixtures are the first and last games and the Christmas period.

I just don’t want another one hit wonder season in the Premiership. I kind of know a top ten finish will be tough but has long as we stay above seventeenth in the league, I would be happy. By staying up it will also consign all the doom and gloom merchants who have Cardiff a certainty for relegation unhappiness.

Transfer News

We have a new player and about time, I am sick with all the rumours but the 23-year-old wingers Josh Murphy as joined from Norwich on an undisclosed fee. The press are reporting the fee could be 11million if so it would match the record fee paid for Gary Medel. The highly rated winger has secured a four-year deal and if you take social media as a yardstick Cardiff fans rate him player highly.

He is a product of the Norwich City academy and since his inclusion in the senior team as received rave reviews. He has made 108 appearances for them throughout his career and last season played 47 games, impressive.

Cardiff City while writing this blog have confirmed the arrival of Greg Cunningham from Preston a left-back and manager Neil Warnock’s second signing within the past 24 hours. The fee is reported to start at £3.5million, plus add-ons taking it to the £4million mark. However, the club announced the fee as undisclosed, subject to international clearance. He has signed a three-year contract at Cardiff. He is a full Republic of Ireland international.

Warnock has long been an admirer of the 27-year-old. Things are beginning to hot up for Cardiff on the transfer field
