There is nothing better than watching a good Zombie movie or TV show as I wait for the Zombie apocalypse I believe we will face one day.
The latest film project has put quite the unexpected twist and I am not surprised having seen Abraham Lincoln fight off the zombie hordes, Nazi zombies hell bent on world domination and my personal favourite zombie strippers all in need of some brain damage.
Little known to readers of Jane Austen's acclaimed novel Pride and Prejudice she had put pen to another version of the book, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. 19th century Britain was plagued with zombies this film reveals, yes a horror/romance spoof parody of the 1813 classic novel.
These films and TV shows have a name now ‘mash-up’. There is a Charles Dickens ‘mush-up’ on the BBC right now ‘Dickensian’. The Elizabeth Bennet character in this film is a martial arts expert must put aside her dislike of the arrogant Mr. Darcy as they unite against the undead. Lily James takes on the role of Miss Bennet moving from Cinderella to zombie slayer with Sam Riley playing Mr. Darcy.
We still have the corsets, heaving chests and being a zombie film plenty of blood and gore. I for one can wait to watch it next week hope fully.
