Another fairly quiet week again next week maybe they are going to keep most of the new stuff back until January with Christmas fast coming upon us like a speeding bullet. I am still mesmerised with Blue Planet 2 and its still the top TV show with the viewers and the critics.
This week the big must is the return of the fantastic Peaky Blinders on Wednesday night and the last time we saw the Shelby gang/family were being arrested except for the head of the family Tommy. It will be interesting to see how he gets out of this mess with rumours of the hangman being involved.
Saturday – Gold – Murder on the Blackpool Express 9:30pm ***New***
Very apt really when the new star-studded “Murder on the Orient Express” it’s the big screen a week or so with a big red carpet event in London. This Blackpool Express is hopefully a comedy not based on a train but a coach.
The Gold channel has assembled a galaxy of TV stars for Murder on the Blackpool Express, a one-off comedy from stand-up Jason Cook, which airs next weekend. Griff Rhys Jones, who plays famous author David Van Der Clane who sets up a book tour with coach operator Gemma Draper (Sian Gibson) and driver Terry (Johnny Vegas), heads the cast.
Terry, the despondent driver of the coach who’s stuck in a rut. He has no goal or passions, apart from an unrequited love interest in tour organiser, Gemma. But everything changes when an OAP dies under suspicious circumstances and Terry suspects something sinister is afoot. Soon the number of passengers has seriously dwindled and Terry feels compelled to solve the mystery and save Gemma’s business; hopefully winning her love in the process.

The London-dwelling Schlegel family are dramatically thrown into contact with the country-based Wilcoxes when an engagement abruptly falls through. The two families soon find themselves unlikely neighbours, while a mix-up involving an umbrella leads to an awkward encounter. Starring Hayley Atwell.
