The new Doctor Who was what I was expecting maybe not who I wanted but the Doctor will still be fighting for mankind so I will be looking forward to next year’s new season/series.

I knew it was going to be a woman the shouts from outside forces have been too loud and when Missy received strong support by the audience as a time lord with issues, I just knew it would be a lady doctor. I was hoping for Natalie Dormer who played Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones. A personal request to the producers but I think I could settle with Jodie Whittaker.

A male sidekick now. I am intrigued to see the regeneration and get to know the new doctor of course the doctor will need a new wardrobe. I hope some of Leela’s outfits a past companion of a long ago Doctor are laying about those sexy animal skins clothes were a favourite of mine.

The shit will hit the fan now with those against a woman Doctor and those excepting the announcement. I myself am in the latter group. I will only make a judgement with the series airs next year and that will not be on the sexuality of the Doctor.

Rumours were rife before the announcement that her fellow Broadchurch star Olivia Colman being touted, especially as its writer is joining the Doctor Who team. Death in Paradise actor Kris Marshall was another name on the list of possible stars to replace Peter Capaldi.
