It was Welsh Cup weekend and unless you were some kind of magician, it would be unlikely you would know the competition was happening. It never ceases to amaze me the lack of media coverage the competition receives but for the Welsh channel S4C who shows a live game it is otherwise a desert.
The team I was now following Caerau Ely face tough opposition in the shape of an away trip to Welsh Premier League team Port Talbot Town for a place in the Fifth round. They found themselves at the end of a 3-0 defeat and if Cardiff Met fail to beat Afan Lido in a rearranged game it will be the end of any Cardiff based teams in the competition.
I have a new team in Port Talbot who now face an away trip to either Cwmbran Celtic or Goytre in the Fifth round.
- Fourth Round – Port Talbot Town 3-0 Caerau Ely
- Third Round – Caerau Ely 4-0 Brecon Corries
- Second Round - Brecon Corries 3-0 Aberbargoed Buds
- First Round - Aberaeron 0-1 Brecon Corries
- Qualifying Second Round - Cwmbach Royal Stars 1-2 Brecon Corries
- Qualifying First Round - Brecon Corries 3-0 Penrhiwfer
