New Sandwich maker - Why 99p

We bought a new sandwich maker it was priced at £34.99. I was more than happy with the purchase but I was annoyed with the 99p. Why the hell can’t they just round it up to £35 I don’t need a penny change? Does anyone. It makes you feel cheap standing there waiting for your penny and you can’t really ask them to put a penny in the charity box.

It has a name ‘Psychological pricing’ which some marketing guru who came up with the idea that prices such as £1.99 are associated with spending £1 rather than £2. Who comes up with this bullshit my comment would be “£1.99 that’s nearly £2 not oh well that just feels like spending a pound”. I never felt like I get a bargain saving a penny.

I suppose that on the bright side the pennies soon add up once we had them towards our Christmas saving tin.
