Must see TV - Week beginning 7 April 2018

Last week was like a tree of plenty giving me ample new TV to watch. This week nothing better to say but sketchy with my highlight of the week My Floating Home on More4, I just love this kind of stuff. I would love to live on the water a long time fantasy of mine.

I had some disappointing news this week I have lost Netflix. When my son moved he gifted us, his wonderful TV … it came with Netflix with the explanation his friend was paying for it and don’t worry it will be free forever, kind of but it wasn’t. It was switched off at the beginning of the week and the thing is I was just starting to enjoy it and now I may have to actually pay for it.

Sunday 8 Apr – Channel 4 – Jesus’ Female Disciples: The New Evidence 8pm ***New***

For 2,000 years, men have dominated the story of Jesus Christ and the origins of Christianity. The 12 disciples were male; for centuries the church decreed women were unacceptable as ministers; and, according to the gospels, women played only minor supporting roles (usually mothers, prostitutes, or homemakers).
Theologians Helen Bond and Joan Taylor embark on a journey around the world in search of evidence of the role played by women in the beginnings of Christianity. Their quest takes them from ancient caves in Israel to catacombs in Italy, and leads them to question centuries of Christian ideology.

Monday 9 Apr – BBC 2 – Secret Agent Selection: WW2 9pm ***New***

A group of people undergo a training programme of the Special Operations Executive, a covert British military organisation established during the Second World War. In the opening edition, the students face the SOE's demanding selection process, an intense four-day course that puts them through a series of physical and mental tests. In the process of watching 14 candidates undergo 1940s-style assessments, we learn can they make the grade.

Monday 9 Apr – ITV2 – Plebs 10pm ***New Series***

Series four of the featherweight but well performed sitcom about feckless young Romans and I have to admit it was a slow burner until the second series, which won me over. Marcus and Grumio are thrown into turmoil by the sudden departure of Stylax and the arrival of builder Jason their new sidekick.

Tuesday 10 Apr - Sky Sports Football – Aston Villa v Cardiff City 7pm ***New***

Another important game for Cardiff as the push to promotion and another game on Sky Sports. Whatever happen at the weekend we still will be going into this game second but will still be five points ahead of third place Fulham? Cardiff make the fairly short trip to the Midlands with a large travelling support as the season ticks down to a finish.

Tuesday 10 Apr- More4 – My Floating Home 9pm ***New Series***

Mark Evans meets people who aspire to live in stunning homes that float on water, beginning with Southampton's Gerald Pragnell and his fibreglass home. With the cost of buying or rent homes so high, more and more people see living on water a cheap alternative way to live.
It can see myself living on the river Taff or in or around Cardiff Bay but for me that is Lottery talk so will never happen.

Friday 13 Apr – Netflix - Lost in Space ***New Series***

Lost in Space is a science fiction series based on the 1965 series of the same name, following the adventures of a family of pioneering space colonists whose spaceship veers off-course.
In the year 2046, the Robinson family and the spaceship Jupiter 2, one of several Jupiter ships, encounters a rip in space-time and crashes on an unknown planet. Stranded light years from their intended destination, the Robinsons, and other colonists marooned with them battle a strange new alien environment and their own personal demons as they attempt to leave the planet.
