Must win game for Bluebirds at Villa

CARDIFF CITY are back on the road to play Aston Villa later tonight and it really is a must win game while some will play it cool saying, “it’s only one game” I feel a sense of panic as I really want automatic promotion so badly for Cardiff. We are two points away from a guarantee play-off spot but I hate the whole play-off thing.

For those stuck at home the game is live again on Sky Sports.

I think we have to realise Wolves got the Championship top spot sown up after the defeat to them Friday night they are nine points ahead of second place. I will pass no comment on the game but for those two missed extra time penalties maybe I shouldn’t it’s still to raw. On the Saturday Fulham won and pushed them within two points of second place Cardiff while tonight opponents Aston Villa lost.

Fulham are on an unbeaten run of 19 matches hope fully the wheel will fall of the bus tonight where they are home to Reading. Yah I know Reading who could still be drawn into the drop zone and relegation they need to fight for it tonight. We need to win all our last six games or at least match game for game with Fulham who we have a game in hand over.

Its Aston Villa tonight and Cardiff City will have a large following of fans to this important top of the table clash with the Midlanders whose form is a touch hit and miss with fingers cross for a miss later.

Callum Paterson, had to be replaced through injury during the Wolves defeat he has been a crucial part of the Bluebirds’ excellent recent run but Cardiff boss Neil Warnock suggested he is struggling to be fit for tonight’s game. But pre-match reports elsewhere more than happy to suggest Paterson will play tonight I would be happy with that.

Cardiff have no major injury problems but for those still undergoing treatment but fans hope for a return of Joe Ralls who is reported fit but will Warnock hold him back tonight keeping him for Norwich away at the weekend. Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has admitted that tonight fixture are do or die for Villa and their hopes of automatic promotion.
