I found it enjoyable last night to sit back and watch another tale of zombie threat. There seems to be plenty around and with the big one “The Walking Dead” a few weeks away why not settle down to an appetizer with the fourth season of "Z Nation".
The first episode of series four of “Z Nation," we see Roberta Warren (Kellita Smith) and Murphy (Keith Allan) at Zona where Warren has been in a coma for 2-years. Out of her suspicion of her new surroundings, escaping Zona is soon foremost in her mind. Zona is highly regulated, sure, but something else is at play? And what is the ‘reset’ all about.
What we do know right away Murphy has now become a god come saviour to the people of Zona, where he and Warren end up. During the two years, Warren’s hair has changed colour and her breast look to have grown I say that because I have never notice them before.
The tour of Zona was interesting. Definitely, looks like one of the safest places we’ve been too so far, even if that instantly means that, they have something to hide in order to maintain this kind of peace and seclusion. Something has to send Murphy and Warren on their way and re-join the rest of their friends.
The old man Doc (Russell Hodgekinson), and Dr. Sun Mei (Sydney Viengluang) have found some safety with a group of US marines who plan to lead survivors to New America a safe zone in Canada. I smell something fishy there! There are told it’s too cold for zombies but I remember Citizen Z (DJ Qualls) stationed in the far north having plenty of trouble with zombies.
Doc seeks out and finds 10k and Red who have been living up a tree for nearly two years fairly peacefully but Doc wants them to come to New America. They decide to go and that only leaves Addy and Lucy who is Warren’s blue faced daughter who are badass warrior queens of the road until they are captured by some mysterious group we have yet to find out about.
Has a “Z Nation” veteran fan I enjoyed the opening of the new season and looking forward to the rest of the series. I did notice that after Abby killed a zombie it twitched leading me to believe they could have some kind of an upgrade. Could be interesting.
