Will the snow and weather put Cardiff City’s trip to London in doubt as they travel to Brentford? The weather will see many games postponed by kick-off tomorrow. At the time of writing the game looked to be on but the pitch would be inspected this afternoon. The team are reported to be on the road, which looks good for the game to be ok. The problems with the weather will hit the travelling fans hard.
How things change but after starting the post this morning, I was called away for a few hours… shopping in the snow and later cooking. During BBC Wales Today, news was announced the game was off, bugger. I just hope the team didn’t have a wasted trip to London. I remember travelling to iffy weather games and half way or sometimes sitting in the pub waiting for the game to start for it to be called off.
Referee Matt Foley took the decision following an inspection of the Griffin Park pitch on is afternoon. It is not just the pitch that has to be taken into a count the surrounding area must be taken into account for the safely of the fans going to the game.
A check to see if any of our promotion rivals have had their games called off and so far only sixth place Sheffield United. So far, three games have been called off.
Cardiff have 12 games left going into today’s game
