Costa Coffee Sausage Roll Review

Yesterday while wandering through Canton on a shopping trip I noticed a street board with an interesting offer outside Costa Coffee to try their new pork sausage roll. Today I sent the wife in to get one for me to try and for me to review.

Last week was Pie Week I always lookout for a new pie to eat and review but this year pies and I seem to have parted ways and it’s not that I have gone off them just not seeking them out. Just locally, I have eaten all the different pies on offer.

To be honest any sausage roll I have yet to have will have to go a long way to beat the sausage roll from Pettigrew Bakeries which I have mentioned before even at the price of £2.50 and half the size of a normal sausage roll. But the price, so what if it is so good. The other day I bought two just because I was willing to spent five pounds with no reason to explain myself and because I could.

So I told the wife to pick up a couple at Costa Coffee while she was out shopping but she only bought one however the price scared her off at £1.99p. That that price this sausage roll as to be something special. I decided to warm it up to eat it. I knew one thing! It was no way special rather a disappointment and bland and for the price I would prefer the pay the extra 51p and go to Pettigrew Bakeries even if the bus fare up and back is two pounds.
