Channel Benefit

I think Channel 5 should be rename Channel Benefits because they seem to have a fascination with people on benefits. A week don’t go by without them plastering our screen with benefit lowlife screwing the system somehow. If it’s not benefits then people living on council estates anything at the bottom end of society.

Last night’s offering was ‘Undercover Benefits Cheat’ where investigative journalists exposed the brazen and shocking ways fraudsters are cheating the system to claim benefits. You could buy forged doctors’ notes and bank statements has well as tutorials on how to make false sickness benefits claims.

One woman was faking being incontinent and she would open a bottle of water in her pocket in the doctors, squeeze it and it would looked like she had pi**ed her pants. Her partner is also making the most of an illness to claim his slice of benefit money. Another person selling knock-off stuff from the back of his car was on sickness benefits because he hurt his finger in work.

Later in the show, the investigative team confronted the fixers, they became unsurprisingly aggressive, and one can only hope they all received a recall to the benefits office for a chat.

While I was watching the show I wondered when we would see, Channel 5 come up with a show about ‘Tax Dodgers’. These people doling out this advice in the pub or nando’s could well have their counter parts sitting in some office somewhere telling the rich end how to dodge taxes. I personally see no differences between the two tribes of fiddlers but I suppose it is easier to infiltrate the bottom of the gene pool.

Read a few comments on this TV show you could easy see people despise the benefit cheat then the tax dodger. Either end of this question ‘cheat or dodging are breaking the law and should both be punished with the full force of the law.
