How to Find Christmas

There are people out there who cannot find Christmas, which can be a very hard thing when you get, older. For me it is always there because I remember my childhood and my own children now they have all grown up I find I miss the presents of their excitement.

I still believe Christmas is about the innocents of a child waking up early waiting for permission to run down the stairs and dive straight into your presents. The biggest present was always the first present I opened if there was no bike in the passage; you knew no bike for Christmas. I do not think kids today have that kind of discipline to wait or even if they get up early has all they want his the latest iPhone.

I have a granddaughter who I never see and how I would love to see her open her presents it would bring me such joy but it will never happen. The way my sons are going, I am unlikely to see another grandchild.

I carry my Christmas spark because of memories of this time of the year and if I had a one off chance to go, back in time I would pick a Christmas, picking one year out of the air, 1970.

I am now almost falling into the "very old" category. We do not need anything and in many cases, I ask for no presents but for cash, I do like cash. No surprises, no gifts...just another Christmas going by. Finding Christmas will be fun this year. I am at home with my family the only place I want to be. Wonderful!

Merry Christmas to you all. May your stocking be full of joy and happiness.
