It Beings.... Football - Cardiff City - Promotion the target

It begins! Well it started last night with Fulham playing Newcastle in the opening shot of the ELF Championship. It turned out not to be a good night out for every pundits favourites for automatic promotion Newcastle as the Londoners (Fulham) won with only one goal in the game.

Today my club Cardiff City travel to Birmingham looking to start the season with a win. In the transfer market, we have been fairly quiet however most fans seem to be content with the situation. The Cardiff manager Paul Trollope as promise there will be more action on the transfer front be for the close of the transfer window, which will keep the present players on their toes.

He looks to be doing a good job to date and deciding not to take a holiday after is coaching duties with Wales at the Euros was right for the club. He has since cut ties with the Wales coaching staff time to concentrate on the Bluebirds. Pre-season when along nicely a lot quieter then previous seasons and we will see how that helps the players.

What can we realistically expect from this season? We know what the club want... promotion, don’t we all. We must be in contention for a play-off place at the least. It’s not beyond us, but looking at the teams in the Championship it will not be easy.

My Prediction for the game
2-1 Cardiff
