Crap Music ... Great Comedy

The power of TV can work in mysterious ways sometimes like an obscure album finding its way back into the charts for no reason other an appearing in a TV show.

Well that is what happened to “Now That’s What I Call Music 48” release 16 years ago. It has been out of production for years but has now shot into charts thanks to viewers buying old copies of the album and why it is now number 5 in Amazon charts has fan snap it up second hand.

It was featured in the BBC’s popular show ‘Car Share’ starring Peter Kay and Sian Gibson who has admitted it is her favourite CD with the likes of Hear Say, and S Club 7 featuring on the album. I cannot see many being happy with the revival of this music it hurt my ears the first time around and still does today.

Peter Kay's Car Share's second series can be streamed in full on BBC iPlayer. It will also air weekly on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC 1.
