The Welsh Cup Semi-Final gets under way later today and it is going to be an all North Wales affair with no teams from South Wales. The team I am following Caernarfon Town face Bala Town at the Corbett Sports Stadium in Rhyl. The match is live on S4C and kicks off at 5.15pm.
The other Semi-Final will be played at the Bangor University Stadium, kicking off at 2:30pm. Gap Connah’s Quay take on the favourites to win the cup The New Saints. Good luck to all four team battling for a final spot with a nod to Caernarfon.
In the world of football, it will barely register which is a shame and will be poorly attended and it did not even warrant a mention on the national Welsh TV news. More football fans are like to be driving out of Rhyl and Bangor to watch other teams mainly Premiership and Championship games.
The road so far:

Fifth Round - Llanfair United 0-7 Caernarfon Town
Fourth Round - Llanfair United 4-1 Cefn Druids

First Round - Sully Sports 2 - 6 Llantwit Major
Second Round Qualifying – Sully Sports FC 4-1 Tiger Bay
