Could it be Slade .. not that Slade

Woke up this morning to hear news that Vincent Tan as just about signed up Slade, no not that Slade ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ but Russell Slade as our new manager.
The Cardiff City fans want who they want as the new boss ‘Tony Pulis’ but according to reports he has expressed little interest in the job preferring to wait on a Premiership offer of employment. If it is Slade, many fans will look on in disbelief.
The question in my mind was who the hell is Slade? Manager of Leyton Orient I did know but that was about all but how does Vincent Tan no anything about the man. Maybe he just picked a team out of a hat saying whichever team I pull out I will have their manager at the latest SPECTRE board meeting.
I took to the internet and a google search to seek information on this managerial prospect. It led to a jaw-dropping discovery; he was never a professional footballer but a PE teacher with a back door entry into football. I have no problem with that has not every ex-professional player make a great or even mediocre manager. According to Wikipedia, he had an extended career at reserve team level until taking the step up at Notts County (caretaker) for around four months. That was the start of his career in management.
Among Orient fans, Slade is well regarded and the same within management circles with the ability to work on a tight budget. However, would he be the right man for the job remembering promotion is the goal for this season and nothing else in the eyes of owner Vincent Tan? If you read, what is in the press Tan is looking for a head coach rather than a manager opening the possibility of a director of football role, which is being linked with former Cardiff boss, Dave Jones.
