An exotic beauty, Sophia Loren could hold anyone's attention with her alluring eyes and a stacked body she had dangerous curves. She was a busy actress in high demand and not just for her looks, I consider her a fine actress. She worked in the Italian film industry and Hollywood.
I suppose she really came to my attention in the blockbuster El Cid but there are so many films I could site but if there is one film that I would favour over many of her other films, Two Woman. It was heart breaking as she battle to save her daughter from many dangers surrounding them.
Film Synopsis
Cesira (Loren) is a beautiful widow and a successful grocery store owner in Rome. WWII is raging, and she fears for her beloved daughter, 13-year-old Rosetta, amid the daily bombings. They travel to the village where Cesira was born, where Cesira believes they will be safer. There, they are happy even as food dwindles. They endure an awful rape by Moroccans soldiers on the trip back to Rome after she feels it is safe to return.
Sophia Loren is one of the most beautiful women ever to grace the silver screen, official. Her exotic looks are all natural and she was happy to share them with the world. An exotic import to Hollywood she had many leading men looking to date her and she had an affair with married Cary Grant. Sophia has a larger than life persona that she flaunted to maximum effect.
But what I love her for is her class mixed with sex appeal, able to play one off the other. Even when lampooning her own public image, Sophia did it with grace. So stunning! How she could turn a corny glamor shoot into art I’ll never know. But even dressed down and wind-swept she was beautiful!
